Sean Lally’s Night White Skies is a podcast about architecture's future, as both earth's environment and our human bodies are now open for design. The podcast consists of conversations with designers, engineers, philosophers, policy makers, scientists, and writers at architecture’s periphery, who engage in these developments from multiple fronts, offering a diverse range of perspectives around a core topic that provide a broader picture of unfolding events. The podcast stimulates discussions not only within architecture, but the general public as well, in order to expand and spark the imagination, while advancing the political and environmental significance of today’s energy-based and bioengineered projects.
Sean Lally is the founder of the design office Weathers. Lally received his bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture from University of Massachusetts Amherst
and his MArch from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is currently associate professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago’s School of Architecture. Lally is the author of the Graham Foundation-supported The Air from Other Planets: A Brief History of Architecture to Come (Lars Müller Publishers, 2014), as well as a recipient of the Prince Charitable Trusts Rome Prize for Landscape Architecture from the American Academy in Rome.
